FYI: Creating active hyperlinks, embedding video, and inserting photos in posts.

When you are writing or editing a post, there's a bar of icons at the top of the text-entry window:



Creating a active link:

If you are providing a link, highlight the text you want to be a link, then click the "link" icon in the bar. If you want a word or phrase to become a link, a box will open and you can paste in the URL. If you have highlighted a URL, if will automatically become an active link.

So for example, I want to create a link to the Maya Beiser's website.

I highlight the word website, like this:


Then I click on "Link" and this box opens up, into which I paste the URL:



I then click on "OK" and I have an active link:

                                                               Maya Beiser's website.

To insert a photo, click on the photo icon just to the right of the "Link" icon and follow the prompts.

To embed a video, click on the icon that is next to the photo icon--it looks like a "clapperboard" that is used just before a film or video scene is shot (for syncing sound). If you are embedding a YouTube video, click on the appropriate link and in the search box URL of the video. If that doesn't bring up the right video, try
